Proud Moment:

One of our trucks was recently pulled into the Peerless DOT Port of Entry in Helper, UT for a Level 3 inspection (paperwork only). The officer kept a serious tone throughout the process and even told our driver he needed to call management 😬—which definitely raised some nerves.

The surprise? As of January 8th, our truck was the FIRST clean inspection the port had seen all year! Our driver Tony sighed and smirked with relief .

Winter is here, and that means icy roads, heavy snow, and unpredictable conditions. As professional drivers, safety is always the top priority! Here are some essential winter trucking tips to keep you and your load secure:

✅ Inspect Your Truck & Trailer: Before every trip, check tire pressure, brakes, and all lights. Make sure chains and emergency supplies (blankets, food, water) are on board.

✅ Adjust Your Speed: Snow and ice reduce traction, so slow down and increase your following distance. No load is worth the risk of a high-speed accident!

✅ Keep a Safe Following Distance: Stopping distances can double or triple in icy conditions. Stay back and give yourself extra room.

✅ Secure Your Load Properly: Cold weather can cause straps and chains to loosen. Always double-check tie-downs to avoid shifting cargo.

✅ Watch for Black Ice: Bridges, overpasses, and shaded areas freeze first. If the road looks wet but there’s no spray from other vehicles, it could be black ice.

✅ Know When to Pull Over: If conditions become too dangerous, find a safe place to park. It’s always better to delay a delivery than to risk your life.
