Regular service will resume on Tuesday, May 26.

🚧 TRAFFIC ALERT: Railroad Crossing Closures Ahead 🚧

Starting April 13, CSX Transportation will begin maintenance work along the railroad line running through Owensboro. This project includes track removal and replacement and will impact 32 railroad crossings, including several major roadways.

Drivers should expect intermittent closures at crossings throughout the city during this time. Please plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and use alternate routes when possible.

All aboard… it’s summer trolley season!

The Downtown Trolley is now rolling on summer hours, which means more time to hop on and cruise downtown - for FREE.

Monday - Thursday: 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. & 4:00- 8:00 p.m.
Friday & Saturday: 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. & 4:00-10:00 p.m.

Owensboro Transit System will operate on a modified schedule on Good Friday (April 3, 2026): 7:45 a.m.- 4:15 p.m.

Due to this weekend’s winter weather, Owensboro Transit System will begin service on Monday, January 26 at 12:50 p.m. This delayed start allows the Street Department additional time to clear roads and ensure safe travel for buses.
