Working in private aviation means I deal with people who’ve built serious careers and carry serious expectations. They notice everything. A detail most people would overlook becomes the thing they bring up first. And if something goes off track, the entire tone of the working relationship changes pretty quickly.
A lot of people don’t enjoy that level of pressure, and I understand why! There are constant moving parts, timing windows, aircraft issues, crew questions, all happening at once, and I’m the one who has to face the client and keep the trip moving forward.
But I wouldn’t trade this industry for anything. Over the years it’s made me calm under fire. I catch myself in moments where everything is moving fast, and I’m steady as hell. I’ve come to value staying clear, even when the situation isn’t. That’s how you survive in any industry. That’s how you grow.
