AAPT is proud to welcome the Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) – Student Transportation for a keynote presentation focused on important topics affecting Arizona’s school bus professionals, including school bus safety, driver certification, professional responsibilities, and expectations for certified school bus drivers.

🚌 Every Arizona Certified School Bus Driver will want to attend this presentation!

Whether you are a veteran driver or recently earned your certification, this is an opportunity to hear important information directly from DPS and strengthen your knowledge as a professional school bus driver.

The conference is open to the entire pupil transportation team — school bus drivers, monitors and assistants, dispatchers, mechanics, trainers, directors, supervisors, managers, and other transportation professionals.

Talk about a blast to the past. I ran into Paul Novak at St. Rose Church in Anthem, AZ. recently. Paul was a Transportation Director for Tempe Elementary District in years past and also sat on the School Bus Advisory Council with me for many, many years. Great Guy! It was so nice to see him and reminisce about years past in Pupil Transportation. What a small world.

Paul was recently the Project Manager for a new build of the St. Rose Church in Anthem.

The Arizona Association for Pupil Transportation (AAPT) Board Members recently gathered in beautiful Williams, Arizona, for our 2026 Summer Workshop. It was a productive and successful weekend filled with collaboration, planning, and discussions focused on advancing pupil transportation throughout Arizona.

Our board members worked hard reviewing association programs, updating bylaws, and planning future events that support transportation professionals, student safety, and industry excellence across the state.
