This is my beautiful friend Rocio! We met her over a year ago through Rose & Cole's Co-op Transport and have been driving her to work at Guido’s. Rocio has such a kind heart and has become like family! When she came to the community center at 5 Melville St. for the giving gathering yesterday, she surprised me! It was the best gift! ❤️

A major step forward has been taken in a long-gestating transportation project in Western Massachusetts. The Berkshire Flyer is beginning pilot rail service between Pittsfield and New York City this summer.

Call us!!! We’re here to serve!

Most customers book a day or half a day ahead so we can better set our schedules except for emergency service to some of our local organizations serving our most vulnerable community members. We tried on demand at first but having costumers book ahead has really supported capacity building. This may change in the future, but meanwhile, a half day ahead is all that’s needed to book your ride!

Since our soft opening in early 2918, we remain under fiduciary with our partner Roots & Dreams and Mustard Seeds Inc. With support from Cooperative Development Institute, we are developing ourselves as a worker co-op. Due to the pandemic and having to close for a time period, it’s taking us longer than expected to be independent but the choice to be a cooperative is the best one! We will be co-owners versus an Uber or Lyft paradigm where workers are not even designated as employees, with no access to traditional hard fought workers rights.

Our mission is two-fold - ensure vulnerable residents have access to transportation and to develop the program into a worker owned co-op that uplifts and empowers vulnerable workers.

Drivers on the road! Levi and Michael teamed up together today to pick up 60 cases of barbecue sauce in Greenfield for Smokey Diva’s! Smokey Divas was our first customer when we reopened post pandemic (back in late May)! So thankful to them!

Founded in 2020, NYC’s The Drivers Co-op now has 40,000 riders, 3,800 drivers, and thousands of trips. Erik Forman says, “I’d say it’s been difficult for us to fill the on-demand trips, mainly because, although 3,800 sounds like a lot, in New York City we need more. Our fulfillment rates so far have been lower than we wanted. But we’re continuing to move the needle on that.”
