When packing up for a move, it’s incredibly tempting to grab the biggest box you can find to fit all your heavy items—like books, tools, or pots and pans—to "get it all over with." But trust us, that is a recipe for a moving day disaster!
💡 The Meridian Guide to Box Sizes:
Small Boxes (The Heavy Lifters): Use these for books, canned goods, tools, and heavy kitchenware. A small box full of books is easily manageable. A large box full of books becomes a 100-pound hazard where the bottom can fall out!
Large Boxes (The Space Fillers): Save these for your pillows, blankets, towels, and winter jackets. These items take up tons of volume but weigh very little, making the boxes super easy to stack safely.
🚚 Pro Packing Tip: If a box is too heavy for you to easily lift during packing, it’s too heavy for travel!
