The Riv 5400 keeps moving North. A pesky NE Wind has given a little bit of a bumpier ride than we like, so after getting to Hampton, VA last night, the boat is going to head up towards the upper Chesapeake today to allow the owners onboard to get some time to see some of the sights. Kudos to and for knocking out the Punchlist of survey items prior to departure as the boat has been on point!!!

Pretty much to theme of the day! Captain Shawn is staged up and waiting to start through the Welland! It’s always a “hurry up and wait” kind of game when competing with the Lakers and Salties transiting the Seaway. The good news is that the sun is out, the boat is running great, and the trip is almost done for Shawn and the Owners.

Today had Captain Drew and the Riviera 5400 run from Georgetown, SC to the great little town of Oriental, NC. A late start from Charleston yesterday created a nice little diversion from our normal stops. Tomorrow will keep pushing towards the Chesapeake while Captain Shawn will be transiting through the Welland Canal on his final leg.

Got the NTM this early AM, relayed it to Captain Shawn and the Maritimo is moving again this morning from Brewerton to finish up the last locks of the Canal to run across Lake Ontario today and catch an upbound Welland transit tomorrow!!! Let’s get this one done and onto the next one!!!!!!

This morning Captain Drew started the trip on this awesome Riviera 5400 Sport Yacht from Charleston to Bay Harbor, MI. Our colleague Stefan Knost at Jefferson Beach Yacht Sales represented the buyer on this deal and after a few upgrades from our friends at Charleston Yacht we were able to leave this afternoon to start the journey North!!!! What started as a foggy start in the morning yesterday turned into being a beautiful day out at Put in Bay! Captain Drew spent the day with the newest owner of the Azimut 66 and took them from Cleveland to PIB and back to Cleveland for their inaugural day with the new boat! Here’s to many more days!!!

Happy Memorial Day to all, we are eternally grateful to live in this great country!
Today Captain Shawn continues on his journey through the Erie Canal on the Maritimo 55. Stopping just shy of Lock 16 for the night, he’s been fighting with some high water and a temporary closure of the next stretch. I told him today that stopping at St Johnsville will guarantee you the best water pressure at the spigot on the entire trip!!
