Some good news to share. Oregon Voyager featured our founder, Dave Chalmers, in their Hidden Gems series.

Dave started Bridgetown in 1999 with one delivery van and no plan beyond outworking everybody else. The company runs two terminals now, and it still holds the standard he set on day one: do the work, do it right, no shortcuts.

Dave spends most of the interview talking about the team instead of himself. That figures. The drivers, dispatchers, and warehouse crews who have stayed ten years and longer keep customers from 1999 calling today.

Happy National Forklift Safety Day.

35,000 trucks on the road across North America today. Every one of them loaded by a forklift operator. $51.2 billion in freight value — daily.

Our Portland warehouse manager Kevin Baker puts it best:
