🚨 COMPLIANCE TIP: CHECK YOUR ELD!
Did you know an ELD can be removed from FMCSA's registered-device list?
Today is the deadline for carriers using 10 ELDs revoked by FMCSA in July to switch to a compliant device.
👉 Don't assume your ELD is compliant just because you've been using it for months.
Take a minute to verify that your ELD is still on FMCSA's Registered ELD list.
A few minutes of checking today could save you a much bigger headache during a roadside inspection.

🪪🚛 DID YOU KNOW? YOUR IRP REGISTRATION ISN'T JUST ABOUT THE PLATE
If your truck is apportioned under IRP, there is more to keep track of than simply having an apportioned plate on the truck.
Your registration information needs to stay current, including things such as:

📍 Jurisdiction information
⚖️ Registered weight
🏢 Carrier information
📅 Renewal requirements
Changes to your fleet can also mean changes to your IRP account.

U.S. diesel prices hit a record high
Reuters reported September 3 that U.S. diesel prices reached a record $5.820 per gallon, surpassing the previous June 2022 peak. The increase is being driven by global fuel-supply disruptions tied to renewed U.S.-Iran hostilities and attacks on Russian refineries; U.S. diesel inventories are also unusually tight, particularly on the East Coast.

Why it matters
Fuel is one of the biggest operating expenses for trucking, so sustained diesel prices this high can put immediate pressure on owner-operators, small fleets and freight rates. It also makes fuel planning, reducing unnecessary idling, maintaining proper tire pressure and using fuel-card discounts especially valuable.

Average U.S. diesel prices jumped to record ​highs on Thursday, as a global supply crunch intensified after renewed hostilities between the U.S. and Iran and on disruptions caused by Ukrainian attacks ‌on Russian refineries, a major source of diesel exports.
