🌟 Continuing my 15th Anniversary Recognition Series! 🌟

As I celebrate 15 years of Friends Interpreting Services, I want to recognize the special people who have made an impact on my journey along the way.

Today, I want to recognize WVCDHH.

Thank you, WVCDHH, for believing in me and referring FIS to WVDVR for our very first ASL interpreting opportunity. At the time, I was raising two sets of twins, ages 2 and 4 1/2, while trying to build a dream. That referral led to our first interpreting contract and helped begin the journey that became FIS. Thank you for giving me that push and opening the first door. I will always be grateful.

Janet, thank you for hiring me and welcoming me into the **SLA family**. ❤️

Working at SLA was truly one of the **best jobs I ever had** because it gave me the opportunity to learn, grow, and discover so much about myself and the interpreting world.

At the time, I had no idea what my future would hold. I was simply learning, growing, and taking everything in. What I learned from SLA became an important part of the foundation that eventually helped me build **Friends Interpreting Services, LLC.**

SLA will always hold a very special place in my heart. It was a place where people were **respected, valued, supported, and encouraged to learn.** It was also where I began learning how an interpreting agency truly works.

Janet, thank you for believing in me, giving me the opportunity to grow, and welcoming me into the SLA family.

**You helped shape a part of my journey that I will never forget.** 💙

I did not know then where my path would lead—but looking back now, I can see how much that experience helped prepare me for where I am today.

I wanted to take some time to recognize the special people who have made an impact on my journey and helped shape what became **Friends Interpreting Services, LLC**.

These individuals were recognized during our **15th Anniversary Celebration Picnic**, and I would love to continue honoring each of them.

✨ **First, I want to recognize Kevin Dyels!** ✨

Kevin Dyels was the person who **introduced me to the interpreting world** and helped open a door that ultimately changed the direction of my life and career.

I truly would not be where I am today without the opportunity you helped introduce into my life. What started with one connection became a journey that eventually led to Friends Interpreting Services and **15 years of serving our community.**
