Just a friendly reminder to register for the upcoming Smoky Mountain Inter-Community Agency Meeting (SMICAM) scheduled for Friday, March 4, 2022, @ 9:30am-11am. This is a virtual event only. You may register at the bottom of this post.

SMICAM is a benefit for children, families, and communities because it helps provide resources for those directly working with these parties. We can better serve our clients and communities by coming together and discussing issues and obtaining new information for our families and communities. Families and communities benefit from all of us networking and working in a positive, strengths-based manner to determine what services they need and how we can best meet those needs. It’s about how we can support and lift each other up to help lift the families up.

FYI- THE Hamblen County Substance Abuse Coalition and the DEA drug take back event is this Saturday at the East end Walmart across from Walters State, Saturday April 24th, 10AM-2pm If you have clients who have expired or unused prescription meds, the DEA will take and destroy them so they don't end up on the streets or in the hands of our youth. Please share.
