Paratransit is excited to announce our newest community solution : Together We Feed! In collaboration with area non-profits dedicated to food recovery and funded by Capital Food Access Alliance, this new program is launching a fleet of nearly new refrigerated vehicles to enhance food recovery in Sacramento County. By pooling resources, coordinating pickup and delivery schedules and offering centralized maintenance, we are lowering the costs and expanding access to more agencies to help feed our neighbors. Be on the lookout for these vehicles countywide and to learn more about this, or any of our programs, please reach out.

🏆 Celebrating Excellence Behind the Wheel! 🏆

Please join us in congratulating our incredible Paratransit Roadeo team, Pam Stephens and Danielle Jones, for their outstanding performance at the CalACT Bus Roadeo in Clovis earlier this month!

As first-time participants, they made a strong impression:
👏 3rd Place Team Overall
🥇 1st Place – Wheelchair Passenger Securement (Danielle Jones) with a perfect score and fastest time
💯 Perfect Score – Wheelchair Securement (Pam Stephens)

The competition tested critical skills, including pre-trip inspections, wheelchair passenger securement, and navigating a challenging obstacle course, all under tight time limits.

Beyond the competition, both team members completed 12 hours of advanced training in areas like de-escalation and human trafficking awareness, strengthening the level of care and professionalism our riders experience every day.

This is what dedication to safety, service, and excellence looks like.
