What a fantastic way to wrap up another school year! ☀️🚌🌭

Today, our Spanier team gathered to celebrate the end of the school year with great food, plenty of laughs, and some well-earned bragging rights.

A huge thank you to our favorite BBQ master, Dave, who kept everyone well-fed with hot dogs, brats, slider burgers, and even some delicious fried fish! 🍔🌭🐟

Jeanette and JP made sure nobody left hungry for dessert. From pineapple upside-down cake, apple crisp, angel food cake, and bars to JP's amazing cookies, there was something for everyone. 🍪🍰🍍

Of course, one of the highlights of the day was our "Most Likely To..." awards. Congratulations to Rick, one of our longest-serving employees, for somehow pulling off Rookie of the Year! 🏆
Nolan earned not one, but two honors: Best Impression of a Stop Sign and Most Stop Arm Violations Turned In this School Year with an impressive total of 8! 🚦✋
And John B. took home the award for Most Likely to Be Seen Standing Around Chatting After Clocking Out. 😆

Thank you again to our entire Spanier family for another successful school year. We appreciate everything our drivers, aides, technicians, office staff, and support teams do every day to safely transport our students. Enjoy a well-deserved summer break!

That’s a wrap on the school year! 🚌☀️

Today marks the final afternoon route of the season. To the students: have an incredible, safe, and fun-filled summer break! You’ve earned it.

A massive thank you goes out to our entire team at Minnesota Coaches and Spanier Bus Service. To our drivers who navigated winter weather and busy spring mornings, our mechanics in the Service Center keeping the fleet in top shape, and our dispatchers holding the schedules together—thank you for your daily dedication to operational excellence.

And to the parents and school districts: thank you for trusting us with your most precious cargo every single day. We consider it a privilege to have been driving our community since 1957, and we take that responsibility to heart.

Enjoy the summer! We'll be doing our maintenance and prep work so we're ready to roll when fall comes around.

We’re excited to officially welcome JP to the Spanier team as our new Service Center Manager! 🎉

With 10 years of experience in the transportation industry, JP brings a strong passion for supporting the people around him and helping teams succeed. What excites him most about this position is the opportunity to support teammates as they continue providing service and compassion to the St. Cloud community every day.

Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, JP enjoys spending time outdoors whenever he can — especially fishing and hiking — and also loves cooking and baking in his free time. He describes his leadership style as “Lead By Example” and hopes to bring stability, empathy, positivity, and support to the Spanier team.

Since joining Spanier, one of the things that has stood out most to him is the team’s passion for serving the community, their sense of humor, and how welcoming everyone has been.

Outside of work, JP is a huge music fan and can almost always be found listening to something new. Fleetwood Mac tops the list as his all-time favorite band, and he enjoys learning about music history and how older artists continue to influence today’s music.

And for a fun fact? JP once made a 30-second appearance on the classic Nickelodeon show Slime Time Live! 😄

🚌🎉 Our Favorite Time of Year… FIELD TRIP SEASON! 🎉🚌

There’s just something about this time of year—excited chatter, packed lunches, and buses full of students heading out on adventures.

From exploring at the Science Museum and Children’s Museum, to visiting animals at Como Zoo and Pinewood Zoo, to sweet stops at the Sugar Shack, getting lost at A Maze’n Farmyard, or rolling into fun at Skatin’ Place—we love being part of these unforgettable days.

Field trips are more than just a ride—they’re memories in the making, and we’re proud to help get students there safely. 💛

It’s official! Minnesota has taken a major step forward in protecting students at the bus stop. Governor Tim Walz has signed the school bus stop arm safety bill into law, reinforcing what we all know: When it comes to student safety, there can be no compromises.

This commonsense, bipartisan legislation obligates motorists to stop when a school bus displays flashing red lights even before the stop arm is fully extended. This new law will go a long way toward helping protect lives.

Minnesota Coaches was proud to stand alongside the Minnesota School Bus Operators Association, the Minnesota State Patrol and the lawmakers who made this possible at the bill signing. Their leadership and commitment to safety make a real difference for families across our state.

Meet Molly! 💖

Molly has been part of the Spanier Bus family for 11 years as a bus chaperone, and she brings so much heart to everything she does. Her favorite part of the job is working with the pre-k kiddos—helping them feel safe, cared for, and ready to start their day.

If you know Molly, you know she has a love for all things pink—and honestly, she’s one of a kind. Around here, we like to think of her as a bit of a magical pink unicorn 🦄💗—because you don’t come across people as genuine, kind, and special as her very often.

We are so lucky to have Molly on our team and grateful for the warmth and care she brings to our students every single day.

🥧 Happy Pi Day! 🚌

Today we celebrate 3.14… the number that keeps circles rolling and math teachers smiling.

At Spanier Bus, we might not calculate pi very often, but we do spend a lot of time going in circles—routes, roundabouts, and making sure students get safely from home to school and back again.

So whether you’re celebrating with math… or with a slice of pie (we recommend the second option 😄), we hope your day adds up to something great!
