We’d like to take a moment to recognize another one of our outstanding drivers: Christina Vargas of Div 62 Hanford🌟👏

During an OnDemand trip, Christina was dropping off a 12-year-old child at the Boys & Girls Club. Instead of simply completing the drop-off and moving on, she took the extra step to ensure the child safely made it inside. When she noticed the doors were locked and the facility wouldn’t open for another three hours, she immediately acted.

Understanding the situation and the surrounding area, Christina brought the child back onto the bus and contacted dispatch. From there, she worked with the team to safely bring them back to our terminal while we contacted the child’s mother. Once we reached her, we ensured the child was safely transported back home.

This is a perfect example of going above and beyond—not just doing the job, but truly caring about the people we serve. Our client expressed how impressed they were with how the situation was handled, and the child’s mother was extremely grateful.

Christina, thank you for your professionalism, awareness, and compassion. You represent the very best of what we strive for every day. 💫

Alberto has been a dedicated bus operator with MV since December 2008, consistently demonstrating outstanding commitment to his work and the community he serves. He shows up every day with a positive attitude, always ready to help and go the extra mile.

His willingness to step in wherever needed, along with the strong rapport he builds with co-workers and our client, truly sets him apart.

Today is National Transit Employee Appreciation Day and at Div 24, we took some time to celebrate the amazing people who keep everything moving.

Donuts and coffee in the morning; BBQ in the afternoon—enjoying the 90 degree and getting a chance to connect and appreciate one another.
