📢Attention : Paratransit services for qualified residents will continue uninterrupted with Capital Metro.

GoGeo fixed-route bus🚌 system ends Sept. 30, 2021.

“The City of Georgetown remains committed to providing exceptional services where they are needed,” Georgetown Mayor Josh Schroeder said. “The council has been very forward-thinking and proactive with regard to providing some form of public transit to meet our residents’ needs. City Council has given direction to discontinue the current fixed route system as of Oct. 1, 2021, but to continue providing our paratransit services. The current fixed-route system has not produced the expected ridership. As Georgetown continues to grow, so will the need for public transportation. I would expect this issue to be reassessed in the future.”

Interurban 1517 Express Gold Route will resume regular service:
Few things to remember…
For the 7:00am southbound trip
• If you are riding the metro rail, STAY on the train until you get to the Downtown Station. Once there, please walk to Trinity and 4th street to meet the bus at 7:00am
• If you are getting dropped off or live around the Plaza Saltillo area, walk down to Cesar Chavez and Robert Martinez, meet the bus at 6:48am
All other Plaza Saltillo times
Walk 2 blocks North on Comal and meet the bus at 7th and Comal (8:40am,10:45am, 12:45pm, 3:45pm, 6:00pm & 8:20pm)
Fares will be collected.

We salute Clean Air Partner Lone Star Clean Fuels Alliance. Under the leadership of Elizabeth Munger, LSCFA works to promote low or zero emissions options, particularly for commercial and public use. Pictured here is an “eCab” low-speed electric vehicle. It is part of CARTS NOW, an on-demand service in Bastrop. eCabs are also available in downtown Austin. Lone Star Clean Fuels Alliance CARTS
