NEW LAW: Wyoming Expands CDL English Proficiency Checks

Governor Mark Gordon has officially signed House Bill 32 into law, significantly ramping up CDL enforcement across the state.

Previously, only the Wyoming Highway Patrol could enforce federal English proficiency standards. Now, all local police and sheriff’s deputies have the authority to pull over drivers and issue citations if they cannot demonstrate basic English skills.
