Out working on the farm today on this 1998 International 4700 which was called into us with an intermittent stalling issue.

After running diagnostics we found the injection control pressure sensor was failing. These DT466 engines rely on engine oil pressure to activate the fuel injectors. Without a correct oil pressure reading from the ICP sensor these engines simply won’t run.

2007 Chevy Avalanche came in for a hard start complaint. Diagnostics found the fuel pump was failing under high demand.

The fuel tanks on these pick ups are absolutely massive and crammed awkwardly in there. They have to be removed and reinstalled at an angle to clear all the components surrounding it. Not a whole lot of fun!

New fuel pump assembly installed and this truck is back on the road. In & out same day. 💪

Sunday fun-day working on this 2018 Honda Accord that came in with a check engine light and engine misfire complaint. Diagnostics revealed cylinders 2 & 3 were logging misfires due to defective fuel injectors.

Unlike older fuel injected vehicles many modern engines utilize “direct injection” which essentially means the injector delivers fuel directly into the cylinder versus the older design of injecting fuel into the intake manifold runner. In a nutshell this typically means the fuel injectors take a little more work to access.

We removed the intake manifold, about a million sensor connections, all other associated intake tubing, and the high pressure fuel rail to access the injectors. Swapped a brand new set of OEM Honda injectors and she’s back on the road for about 1/3 the cost of what the dealership had previously quoted the customer!

2012 Chevy Impala came in with a rough/bouncy ride complaint. As you can see the strut rod completely broke off from the strut itself. That’ll definitely cause a bumpy ride quality.

Swapped in a new set of rear struts and she’s back on the road. In and out same day!

Gotta keep the family’s vehicles running too! This weekend’s project was a clutch replacement on my son’s fox body Mustang. Swapped in a new set of long tube headers while we’re at it.

We installed a Nitrous kit on this car last summer and the extra power proved to be more than the stock style clutch could handle. We upgraded to a stage 2 Mcleod unit. Should easily handle the power now.

Today’s project is a 2007 Chevy Avalanche that came in with a vibration at highway speed complaint and also needed a tune up.

Found the rear u-joint had excessive play in it. Cut the old one out, pressed a new one in, swapped spark plugs & wires and she’s on her way!

This Buick Park Ave came in with an issue all too familiar with us here in Michigan…rusted out brake lines! It’s not a good feeling when your brake pedal sinks to the floor.

Many of these older vehicles are difficult to find replacement metal brake lines for…however no need to worry. We’ll bend and flare new brake liness to fit your application on a budget!

A little rain won’t stop us from getting your vehicle back on the road!

Today’s project is a landing gear rebuild on a 65 series Holland unit. It’s an extremely messy job due to the amount of grease packed in the gear box housing. We installed a new drive gear, drive shaft, intermediate gear, and housing cover. Back to working like new!

We were playing in the snow this past weekend replacing the foot/treadle valve on this Kenworth W900. The pedal & valve assembly were seized.

If you’ve ever had to replace one of these you understand how frustrating it can be…they are tucked way underneath the cab making accessibility difficult so ya gotta get creative especially when reinstalling everything.

Today’s projects!

2017 Ram came in with a complaint the left front wheel was getting hot. Found the brake caliper was seized. Swapped both front brake calipers, slapped on some new pads, bled the brake system, and she’s on her way!

2009 F150 had a sinking brake pedal complaint and was leaking fluid. We found the primary brake line from the master cylinder to ABS valve had rubbed through on the frame. Swapped in a new line, bled the brakes, and she’s out the door as well!

Staying warm indoors on this frigid southwest Michigan day. ‘14 Chevy Traverse came in with a charging issue. The alternators are really crammed in there on these vehicles and can be a little difficult for the average DIY’er. Swapped in a new alternator and she’s back on the road. In & out same day!
