MATERIALS HANDLER ASSOCIATE
Full Time 40 hours per week – Monday thru Thursday 6:00 am to 4:30 pm
JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Unload trucks and check in all incoming freight. Make sure all invoices and shipping receipts show the P.O. truck number the part is received for. You will be unloading multiple trucks a day. Fork lift experience required.
• Deliver all incoming freight receipts to the Materials Manager.
• Notify Materials Manager of any shortages or back orders.
• Place all incoming freight on the appropriate storage shelves based on what truck the part was delivered for.
• Make sure all parts are delivered to the appropriate workstations.
• Keep work & storage area clean
• Notify the Materials Manager of any parts that need to be returned to vendors.
• Prepare any parts that need to be shipped to vendors or customers.
• Use company truck to pick up any local parts as assigned by the Materials Manager. Must have drivers license.
• Perform any duty assigned by the Materials Manager.
• Manage and Maintain Inventory Levels in Parts Room
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
• Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Previous shipping & receiving skills a PLUS
• Have good computer skills – Word & Excel Spreadsheet programming
• Ability to perform the job independently & work well with the team
• Good communication skills
• Excellent attendance record
• Positive attitude
• Strong and consistent attention to detail
• Self-motivated with the ability to stay on task
• Team oriented
• Possess a clean valid driver’s license – must be able to be put on the company’s insurance
• Able to operate a forklift – Certification is a plus
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds without any restrictions
The job offers the following:
• STARTING Pay – Based on prior experience - Pay increases as you learn your job. Minimum starting pay is $21.00 per hour and up plus $1.00 increase after 90 days.
