I guess it is way too much to ask of anyone who visits my business page to "check in and leave a message" since I am not a regular poster here myself. The reason for this request is simple.... You are either researching me to find out info on me or you are looking to see if I post my rates here so you don't have to waste time to call me. Soooo, leave me a message and I'll be happy to answer any questions you may have. I would PREFER you to ASK ME than to ask others about me.

Let me get you started.....
When did you start your business? I started my business, D & M Pilot Car LLC on March 1st of 2016.
What got you interested in this field of work? Talking on my CB on a trip to Florida to 2 oversize truck drivers going by the names of "Fred" and "Barney". They were my original inspiration to become a pilot car.
Is there any ONE person that has helped you the most? No. Not really. The first 3 years were tough, having a money pit for a truck and no help with areas I was weak at. The 4th year is when I think I rose up out of my deep hole and was able to get out of the rut I was in.
With these uncertain times nowadays, do you plan to continue with your business or close it down as so many others are doing? Honestly, I have considered closing up and finding a local job so that I'm home every night and can take better care of my animals. But BECAUSE of these uncertain times, I plan to continue with my job and do and be my best at a job that I enjoy.
How many vehicles do you have for your business? I currently have just one truck. A Ram 1500 Express, blue, with a camper shell on the back.
Do you have any employees? No.
Do you have plans to add more vehicles? No.
What services do you offer? I currently offer High Pole/Lead/Chase. I don't have any desire at this time to learn route surveys or to become a steerman. They require knowledge and patience that I dont have.

Just a heads up.
Be sure you have your 500,000 GL policy when you enter Louisiana. They are cracking down. Fastest way to lose a customer if you get shut down for lack of insurance. I know it bites but it’s the law here.
Give us a call if you need your loads legally moved across Louisiana until you come into compliance. The extra insurance is around 1400 to 1500 a year so you have something to compare with.

Ok so I had a long day today. Drove 3.5 hours this morning up to VA Beach to see friend about my bike. Got that finished up.

My friend and his uncle were working on their trucks. I showed them my new brush guard on mine and compared front signs with my friend. I told him I didn't like a banner sign over my brush guard. He pulled out a hard folded sign and put it on my guard for me. Now I have a new brush guard AND a new front sign!!!

Happy New Year Everyone! Thanks for stopping by my page. I would like to thank all the pilot car operators and the companies who called me to assist with loads in 2018 and allowed me to have a good year.

For those looking for a pilot car, I have one vehicle available set up for lead/chase. I can be reached at (919) 948-8053. It is helpful to give as much notice as possible so that I may be available for you.

I am located just off I-95 in Eastern North Carolina. I don't limit myself as to locations I will travel to. I am willing to deadhead for the right load. (Loaded miles need to be double my total deadhead miles.)

Hi Everyone! Thanks for stopping by my page.

Just an update: due to an unfortunate HIT N RUN accident, my gorgeous 2016 Ram Big Horn is no more. It was totalled on June 2nd. I am fine, no injuries. The vehicle that hit me ran a red light, plowed into me, then backed up and took off! Cops are still searching for that vehicle.

As soon as my insurance finishes up with this claim, I will be back in the drivers seat of a new 2018 Ram. Stay tuned for an update.
