The piloting is active since new years. Several loads under my belt. I have one really good driver's endorsement. He sent it to my website. I am working to have him post it here.
My many years as a driver has really accelerated my ability to be a pilot car operator. It gives me the ability to know what the driver needs before the driver knows what he needs.
My many years of route planning is making piloting much less stressful. The inRoute tool is awesome. I have found that if i get the permit, I can route it in inRoute and then compare with the drivers route to double confirm. This puts the trip on a very solid foundation.
As I get more opportunity, I will write more of my observations and lessons learned.
