3D printing is a common practice when making low volume production parts. 3D printing allows you to have a usable part in your hands in hours and for larger parts it might take a day or two to 3D print, where it would take weeks or even months to have a machine shop make the part. 3D printing is not just for plastics parts, but you can also produce aerospace grade metal parts and composite parts like carbon fiber and Kevlar.

Picking the right material for your application is critical in making "safe parts."

Who Wants to Fly!

The VTOL "Rescue Hopper 911" will have a "Parachute" to give the "First Responders" the best chance for survival .

Why are there so many helicopter and airplanes crashing?

Using an aircraft parachute does help save lives!

Helicopters with the tail rotor and main rotor spinning would have a hard time using a parachute, but small airplanes can effectively use a parachute.

The "Rescue Hopper 911" can help save lives and help keep the medical team safe with the added protection of a parachute.

Who wants to fly!

The "Rescue Hopper 911" is exploring the "blended wing" aircraft design. The blended wing has more interior space for people or cargo and is expected to be 30% more efficient than traditional aircraft that have a wing and tube design.

A traditional tube and wing design has more wetted area than a "blended wing" design causing more drag while in forward flight.

The airplane's wetted area specifically refers to the surface area of the skin of the aircraft that is in contact with the air as it moves through the atmosphere.

The "blended body" design creates lift, so a smaller wings can be used decreasing the wetted area.

The "Rescue Hopper 911" Thrust vectoring VTOL aircraft is "Disruptive" with safely enclosed propulsion/propeller system!

There is no fear of rotor blade strike like a helicopter which can lead to injury and death.

We are seeking investors to breathe life into the disruptive life saving VTOL aircraft. contact Tom for more info. [email protected]

Is the future of flight supersonic, hypersonic, or something entirely new? While some dream of breaking the sound barrier, others believe the real revolution lies in blended-wing aircraft - a game-changing design that’s more efficient, spacious, and eco-friendly. Could this be the jet of the futur...

The comparison between rim-driven fans (RDFs) and ducted fans (DFs) reveals several key differences and advantages of RDFs:

RDFs offer an increase in thrust per frontal area due to the removal of the flow restriction caused by the hub-mounted motor. They also have a shorter overall length of the fan assembly and reduced motor tangential forces required to generate torque. RDFs provide air cooling for the motor windings and can easily install two contra-rotating RDFs in tandem, facilitating efficiency gains and faster efflux velocities.

DFs are hub-driven with the main propulsive airflow passing over a central energizing unit, namely the gas turbine engine. They are considered for aircraft electrical propulsion solutions due to their familiar technology and lower development risk. However, their configuration may not always be ideal for all aircraft electrical propulsion needs.

The RDF technology has its roots in the early 1960s and has been successful in the marine industry. However, it has not been able to pass feasibility in aerospace applications until the move towards electrification became a solid target for the industry. Recent studies from RogersEV show that RDFs have significant promise for aerospace applications, offering improvements in system efficiency, noise, complexity, and safety.
