Antonini Enterprises

Antonini Enterprises Headquartered in Stockton, CA., Antonini Enterprises is a premier carrier in the San Joaquin Valley. We are a family owned business established in 1926.

We haul various commodities out of 5 terminals throughout Northern California. The origin of the Antonini Companies begins in 1891 with the birth of Virgilio Antonini in Castiglione Chiavarese, a small town in northern Italy. With a dream of a better life, Virgilio came to America in 1909 and made his way from the East Coast to San Francisco before settling in Stockton, California, a burgeoning ag

ricultural community in the San Joaquin Valley. After working on a farm for a short period of time, he soon managed to purchase his own farm. Realizing the importance of getting his and other farmers’ products to market and recognizing an opportunity to provide a necessary service to the community, Virgilio started Antonini Fruit Express in 1926, the foundation of what has become the Antonini Companies today. In celebration of our 100th year in business, we’re sharing moments that helped shape Antonini’s story.
Growth has always meant being open to new kinds of work.
Over the years, Antonini expanded beyond agriculture, hauling a variety of commodities across California and into Nevada. During this time, our team moved paper fiber products out of the Elk Grove area to facilities serving many different industries.
Here, a flatbed is being loaded with cardboard materials that would later become everyday products, from food packaging to household goods.

For more than 100 years, Antonini has been built on hard work, strong relationships, and a commitment to keeping California moving.
We’re honored to be featured in this California Trucking Association article highlighting our company’s growth through generations of trucking, freight, agriculture, and service to the communities we call home. From a single truck to a diverse transportation operation serving the West Coast, we’re proud of where we’ve been and excited for where we’re headed next.

In celebration of our 100th year in business, we’re sharing moments that helped shape Antonini’s legacy.

This photo takes us back to the early 1930s, with our founder, Vic Antonini. After immigrating from Chiavari, Italy to the East Coast in the early 1900s, Vic made his way to Stockton, California, where it all began. Here he stands beside his 1932 Mack truck, cigar in hand.

From those early days, Vic made long nightly trips from Stockton to the San Francisco produce market, crossing the bay by ferry out of Oakland and laying the groundwork for what Antonini would become.

Vic, thank you for starting it all.

Today on International Women’s Day, we recognize the women whose hard work and dedication help keep Antonini Enterprises moving forward.
From the office to the yard and across the transportation industry, women play an important role in keeping operations running and supporting California agriculture. We’re proud to celebrate the women on our team today and every day.

With the start of a new year comes a moment to pause, reflect and in this case celebrate.

As 2026 begins, we are excited to announce our 100 year anniversary. It is an honor to share a message from our President about the people, partnerships, and purpose that have driven Antonini Enterprises.

"As we prepare to celebrate our Centennial, we feel it is important to recognize those that have enabled us to achieve such a lofty accomplishment.

First of all, our grandfather Virgilio Antonini and his wife Rose. Their entrepreneurship to start a trucking operation in Stockton in 1926 was a bold move. They serviced local farmers by picking up and consolidating their produce and then transporting it via truck to the San Francisco Market. Our grandfather would drive at night through the islands between Stockton and Oakland, catch a ferry and deliver the produce to the Market. This allowed local farmers to sell their goods to consumers daily.

Our father, Rudy and his two brothers, Jack and Louie were next in line to run the family business and they set the stage for growth and future expansion of the business. Their vision to work with canneries in both the tomato and fruit industries are still the backbone of our companies today.

Our vendors have played a key role in our business. It is with these partnerships that we have been able to continue thriving in the industry despite the many headwinds we face year in and year out.

Our customers, many of which we have had for several decades, continue to rely on our services to produce results that allow them to be successful in their businesses today.

Finally, our employees are the real reason we are here today, 100 years after inception. It is because of their dedication and expertise that we are here to continue servicing our customers’ needs each and every day.

It is with heartfelt thanks to all who have played a key role in allowing Antonini to be in business for 100 years, we appreciate your support and we look forward to continuing to service our customers for many years to come."
