🚨We’re looking for Tanker drivers! 🚨
Company 8, located in Sykesville, Maryland, is looking for Tanker Driver’s to haul liquid latex, asphalt, and more to locations throughout the United States.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Drive tanker truck to its destination in a safe manner daily
• Familiarity with DOT regulations
• Performs all work adhering to OSHA and Company Safety Policy
• Perform daily safety checks of fluid levels on oil, water, and fuel
and inspections for leaks and damage to the vehicle before and
after the operation
• Maintains and completes daily driver paperwork according to
company and DOT regulations
• Reads gauges and calculates tank quantities and load amounts
with loading and unloading material
• Maintains the cleanliness of assigned truck
Qualification Requirements
• Must be a minimum of 21 years old
• CDL A with Tanker Endorsement
• Clean Driving Record
• 2 Years’ experience as Tractor-Trailer Driver preferred
• 1-year experience hauling liquid material preferred
• Must be able to obtain a TWIC card
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical, pre-employment drug
screen, and background check
Education and experience This position typically are not an entry-level job, as it requires demonstrable previous experience as a CDL Driver.
• A high school diploma or (GED) is preferred.
• Must be able to understand work directions and communicate
effectively with the dispatcher.
Physical Demands The following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by a Truck Driver to perform the essential functions of this job successfully.
• The employee must be able to sit and stand for extended periods
and to stoop, bend, and crouch as required to perform Key Duties
• Frequently work with hands extended overhead, sometimes
• Ability to lift at least 75 pounds personally, and up to 150 pounds
with assistance on occasions
• Frequently walk on uneven surfaces, including natural ground, in
varying weather conditions
Work Environment The work environment characteristics described below are representative of those that a Tanker Truck Driver encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
• Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions
• The work environment periodically exposes the employees to
high levels of noise, grease, and dust
• The employee regularly works near heavy equipment and moving
machinery
