How many of us is this? You’re unpacking, frazzled, over it completely, just internally screaming so everyone else thinks you’re fine. Cause you’re fine. It’s fine!

No matter who you are I’m sure you may have experienced this for sure. However, you really ARE fine! Promise - take a minute to breathe and know that unpacking a who house is not going to happen over night nor does it need to.

Unpack on box at a time, literally!

Whewwww did y’all see my buccs!? We had to take a break to enjoy the year we’ve had. Back to our stressful mover enneagram series.

I don’t know about any of you but maybe you’re a stressed 5 when unpacking. If you find yourself walking through each room unpacking as you go wondering why you bothered labeling everything, then this might be you. Abe that’s okay! We all have our own way of dealing with the stresses of packing or unpacking.

One way to combat this may be to take a break and know that you’ll get it finished and it doesn’t have to be right away. Having a friend with you may help as well. Take your time, pour a glass of your favorite drink, put in some and unpack little by little.

The wife here and this has me feeling attacked! I’m telling you right now, this is me. This is me on a day where we aren’t unpacking HA!

It’s so easy to get lost in the memories of your previous home and I doubt anyone will fault your for it. I find that if I give myself time to dream a little of the previous memories that I’m much quicker to unpack and move on. Is this you too?

Honestly, a nap right about now just might hit the spot! Are you a three? Though, I think all of us have a little bit of this in us when we are moving or unpacking from a hectic move.

If you know you get overwhelmed quickly when things are everywhere then our tip for you is to make sure you label EVERY SINGLE BOX. Label it all, that way you can unpack room by room. I’ll also say that, pack a couple of essential boxes. Things you know your need for the “right now” that way when you’re exhausted from getting everything in your new home you can focus on unpacking jut what you need and focus on the larger tasks tomorrow.

Believe it! And the next sentence will be even more of a shocker... ready? Check with at least 3 moving companies. You want to be sure that you can afford to move, you want the best bang for your buck (but you also want to be sure it’s not so cheap that you regret it later!). Instead of paying for boxes, get the free kind. Your local Publix will have tons of them and if they don’t, they can tell you when. Check FB marketplace for free boxes. Someone’s always moving, maybe 🤔 our previous customer posted some. Some things do need bubble wrap but many items in your home can be protected by your pillows and throws. So put those items to work

I can’t say that my wife is making care packages but she gets lost in her thoughts for decorating the room she’s in. She wants to make the house we’re in a home!

How many of us are type A’s and when it’s time to move are either super controlled or are spiraling out of control?

Moving is stressful we get it! If you’re an enneagram one and find yourself giving over your friends and family... take a breather! The one positive thing about moving is that soon you’ll be in your new place, unpacked, and enjoying take-out! I mean, come on, who’s cooking that night anyway.
