Kids Ivy League Transportation:
Kids Ivy League Transportation is a company focused on providing transportation and supervision for children we are Wards of the State of Illinois. We work closely with DCFS in achieving their goal of family reunification.
About the Visitation Specialist:
The Visitation Specialist will provide transportation and visitation supervision services to children and their families in accordance with Illinois Department of Child and Family Services (DCFS) policies.
All agency staff are expected to address clients, staff and community members in a respective, positive and professional manner; provide a safe environment. Agency staff are expected to perform identified responsibilities and assure that all aspects of the agency comply with all applicable Federal, State and accreditation standards in conjunction with the agency’s identified policies and procedures.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Transporting children and/or biological parents to and from visitations.
• Supervise the visitations providing instructions and parenting information as appropriate.
• Document observation of visitation within 24 hours with detailed notes.
• Report any concerns to the Visitation Specialist Coordinator.
• Provide transportation for children to doctor’s appointments, therapy sessions, etc. as needed.
• Transport biological parents to/from appointments as approved by the DCFS Caseworker.
Additional Requirements
• 21+ years of age
• High school diploma or college credit
• Experience working with children
• Pass a background/submit fingerprints
• Have a vehicle and able to provide license, insurance and vehicle registration
Primary Hours: Day, Evening, and Weekend hours available. Must be able to commit to transportation/supervision services for a minimum of two recurring client visitations at a time.
