Dear Just Her Community,
There are some messages you hope you never have to write, and this is one of them. After much consideration and discussion with our Board of Directors, we have made the difficult decision to place Just Her Rideshare operations on pause effective October 30, 2026.
I want to say this clearly from the beginning: This is a pause, not a phase-out.
Over the past several years, we have worked incredibly hard to build and sustain a transportation company created with women at the center. While we have built something we are incredibly proud of, we have not been able to raise the level of capital or secure the operational support necessary to continue operating Just Her responsibly at this time.
There is also a deeply personal part of this decision. Months ago, I shared my journey of “Building While Broken” as I honorably serve my husband, who is terminally ill and in hospice care.
I've taken investor meetings from hospitals, traveled across the country pitching Just Her, endured sleepless nights, and made personal financial sacrifices because I believed so deeply in our mission. But this season requires me to acknowledge my capacity, rest, and be present for my husband and family.
But before we pause, there is something much more important that I need to say.
Thank you....
Whether you rode with us once, called us when you needed a ride to the airport, trusted us for your weekly transportation, scheduled rides for your children, asked us to transport your mother, depended on us for medical appointments, or became one of the familiar faces we had the privilege of serving again and again—you became part of the Just Her story. And we are deeply grateful.
You Trusted Us
When we started Just Her, we knew we weren't simply asking women to download another rideshare app. We were asking you to trust us. You trusted us to get you home safely. You trusted us with your children. You trusted us with your mothers and loved ones. You trusted our drivers to show up when you needed them.
You trusted us during moments when feeling safe, comfortable, respected, and cared for mattered. That trust was never something we took for granted.
Our customers helped us build a remarkable level of loyalty, including an 88% customer retention rate among the customer group we track for repeat engagement. That told us something important: when women experienced Just Her, many of them chose us again. That meant everything to us.
Together, We Proved Something
We entered an industry dominated by billion-dollar companies because we believed women deserved another choice. We believed transportation could be about more than getting from Point A to Point B.
It could feel safe.
It could feel comfortable.
It could feel personal.
And it could feel like community.
You helped us prove that.
Every reservation, every referral, every review, every encouraging message, every time you told another woman about Just Her, and every time you chose us again helped build this company. You didn't simply ride with Just Her. You helped build Just Her.
What Happens Now?
Effective October 30, 2026, Just Her Rideshare will pause active ride operations. Customers will no longer have access to the Just Her rider mobile app. But Just Her is not disappearing. Our company remains an active entity, and our Board plans to revisit the future of rideshare operations at the beginning of 2027.
At that time, we will evaluate whether we have the capital, operational support, driver participation, partnerships, and resources necessary to responsibly begin again. Until then, we want to stay connected with you.
Just Her Hub will remain open https://community.justherrideshare.com
The Hub represents something we discovered along this journey: what started with transportation became a much larger opportunity to connect women, support one another, share resources, build relationships, and create impact beyond the ride.
I hope you will continue this journey with us there. Because while the rides are pausing, the community doesn't have to.
From My Heart, Thank You
Building Just Her has been one of the greatest privileges of my life. There have been sleepless nights, tremendous sacrifices, incredible victories, difficult setbacks, and moments when I wasn't sure how we would keep going.
And then there were you. A customer would send an encouraging message. A mother would tell us how relieved she was that her child had a safe ride. A daughter would trust us with her aging mother. A woman would tell us that, for the first time in a long time, she could simply sit in the back seat and feel comfortable. Those moments reminded us why we kept fighting.
So whether you rode with us one time or one hundred times, please know this:
You mattered to us.
Thank you for trusting our drivers.
Thank you for trusting our company.
Thank you for allowing us to serve your families.
Thank you for believing that women deserved another choice.
And most of all, thank you for allowing Just Her to be part of your life.
This isn't the goodbye I want to write, so I won't. Instead, I will simply say:
Stay connected. Stay in community. And stay with us as we determine what the next chapter of Just Her can be.
We hope that when the time is right, we will have the privilege of driving you again.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Kimberly Evans
