Southwest Area Regional Transit District The Southwest Area Regional Transit District also known as SWART is a local governmental agency that is a political subdivision of the state of Texas.

SWART provides rural public transit in 8 counites of the Middle Rio Grande region.

En conmemoración del **Día de los Veteranos, miércoles 11 de noviembre de 2026**, todas las oficinas administrativas del Distrito Regional de Transporte del Suroeste (SWART) permanecerán cerradas para rendir homenaje y reconocer a los valientes hombres y mujeres que han servido a nuestro país.

🚌 **¡SE OFRECERÁN SERVICIOS LIMITADOS DE TRANSPORTE!**

Aunque nuestras oficinas estarán cerradas, SWART continuará ofreciendo servicios limitados de transporte, incluyendo:

✅ **Arriba SWART – Servicios de Microtránsito a Solicitud**

✅ **Transporte Local para Citas Médicas**

✅ **Rutas de Transporte para Tratamientos de Diálisis**

📅 **Jueves 12 de noviembre de 2026:** Todas las oficinas de SWART reabrirán y se reanudarán los servicios regulares de transporte.

In observance of **Veterans Day, Wednesday, November 11, 2026**, all Southwest Area Regional Transit District (SWART) administrative offices will be closed as we take time to honor and recognize the brave men and women who have served our country.

🚌 **LIMITED TRANSIT SERVICES WILL BE AVAILABLE!**

Although our offices will be closed, SWART will continue to provide limited transportation services, including:

✅ **Arriba SWART Micro-Transit Services**

✅ **Local Medical Appointment Transportation**

✅ **Dialysis Transportation Routes**

📅 **Thursday, November 12, 2026:** All SWART offices will reopen, and regular transit services will resume.

**More Hours! More Flexibility! More Opportunities to Ride!**

After months of planning & analyzing! We are excited to announce that beginning **Monday, January 4, 2027**, SWART will officially launch **EXTENDED LOCAL TRANSIT SERVICE HOURS** in the following communities:

📍 Uvalde\
📍 Crystal City\
📍 Carrizo Springs\
📍 Eagle Pass

🕔 **NEW EXTENDED SERVICE HOURS**\
📅 Monday through Saturday\
⏰ **5:00 AM – 6:30 PM**

These extended hours will apply to:

🚐 **Arriba SWART Micro-Transit On-Demand Services**

🚌 **SWART Demand Response & Paratransit Services**

💲 **GOOD NEWS!** All current fares will remain the same during this initial period!

📊 **A THREE-MONTH PILOT PROGRAM**

These extended hours will initially be offered as part of a three-month pilot program. During this period, SWART will closely monitor ridership, community participation, and transportation needs to help determine the sustainability of these additional service hours.

**Your ridership matters!** The more our communities utilize these extended hours, the better we can evaluate the demand for expanded transportation options in the future.

Se informa al público que la Ruta Roja (Red Line) del servicio de ruta fija de SWART estará temporalmente fuera de servicio durante el resto de esta semana debido a una interrupción del servicio.
✅ Se espera que el servicio se reanude el lunes 26 de octubre de 2026.
