One of the things I love most about w**e country is the stories behind the w**e.

Today, while visiting Floating Balance Winery, one of our guests asked Dave how he and Shane came up with the name. Dave shared that his grandmother was from Italy, where making w**e was simply part of life. She used to say that a great glass of w**e is like a ā€œfloating balance.ā€

Something about that really resonated with me. Maybe itā€™s because the best w**es seem to bring us into the momentā€”good conversation, good company, and a chance to slow down for a while.

I loved hearing the story, and it made me appreciate this special little w**ery even more. šŸ·

A few days before we said goodbye to Lilah, I delivered lunch to guests enjoying a Bacchus & Barley tour at Va Piano Vineyards & Winery and brought my sweet girl along for the ride.

While our guests enjoyed the w**e, Lilah enjoyed exploring the grounds, sniffing every corner, and soaking up the sunshine. Looking back, I had no idea it would be one of her last adventures.

One of the many reasons I love Va Piano is how welcoming they are to dogs, making them a perfect fit for our Bacchus & ā€œBarkeyā€ experiences.

In Lilahā€™s memory, I stopped by and treated myself to a few bottles of their wonderful w**e. Thank you, Va Piano, for being part of a memory Iā€™ll always cherish. ā¤ļøšŸ¾šŸ·
