The Supply Chain is the flow of raw materials to factories, finished goods to distribution centers and to store shelves. When we closed a family business a few years ago, there was little hope that I would be doing anything other than what I was good at. I took a couple jobs and tried to help other people m

ake money doing what I knew. Things were going ok when a close friend said that she was looking for an investment, she had the capital and I had the know-how.... and Fenichey was born. Over the last two years we have worked very hard to make this little trucking brokerage not so little. With excellent carrier contracts and some great sales representation, Fenichey is in the position to offer quality LTL and truckload services at great prices. Last week, Vin was sitting on the beach and finalized a 300-load move for one of our customers.

Even better, he already had carriers lined up and ready to start moving freight next week. From the beach.

That’s always been the goal for him. Build a business that doesn’t depend on being chained to a desk to keep things moving.

The best agents usually don’t come to Vin with problems.

Vin spent the weekend down in Myrtle Beach with his wife, Sara, for the Carolina Country Music Festival.

These types of weekends are a reminder that the whole point of building something is to create more freedom, not less.

That’s something we think about a lot with Fenichey. Good people, good processes, and the right tools should let agents run a serious business without feeling like they can never step away. Go take the trip, stay for the concert, enjoy the weekend.

Freight will still move Monday morning.

Vin will be bouncing around a bit next month. He'll be in Texas from June 23rd through June 25th, Wichita on June 26th, and then Kansas City on June 27th.
