They have great coffee, much better than the chains that have recently come to town with their too sweet, premixed drinks. Give them a try and support a Lical business.
What a strange time to be a small business.
Our lease has gone up 38%.
Our cost of goods have gone up 50%.
Our monthly costs have gone up 15-30%.
Our credit card processing fees are going up in September.
Yet our sales have dropped 40%. Part of it is our big box "competitors", part of it is summer slow-down, part of it is everyone else feeling the pinch as well.
We have some big decisions to make.
1. We trim our hours back.
2. We increase prices.
3. We increase prices, but give cash paying customers a discount.
4. We do drive-thru only after 1pm every day.
5. We increase our food offerings (we've already added Brekkie Bakes, Acai Bowls, pastries from our Red Oak Bakery).
5. And if all else fails, we look at an exit plan.
We've been blessed to be a part of the community for almost 6 years, but if the community says it's time to let others shine, then it's time, and we will find new adventures.
But if we are supposed to push through this season (and hopefully come out the other side even stronger), please let us know! Share our posts, invite others to our page/s, invite other to hang out in our lobby, grab an extra drink for a loved one in our drive-thru. And if possible, try TRCC instead of.... other big box coffee shops ;) It's been a rough year, y'all, but we have loved all of our supporters and TRCC family, and are so grateful for how far we've been able to make it.
