After what appears to have been a slight routing delay somewhere over the Blue Ridge, our newest WNC Shuttle van has officially arrived in Waynesville. We cannot confirm the stork’s DOT compliance, but the delivery was right on time.

At WNC Shuttle, we have always said that dependable transportation is our cornerstone. Now we can apparently add “aerial fleet expansion” to the list.

This past fall, we had the pleasure of providing guest transportation for Caraline and Brian’s beautiful wedding at Castle Ladyhawke. The day was already stunning, but as the evening went on, the weather had other plans—and the event turned into a magical, snow-dusted mountain celebration ❄️🏔️

Our role was to get guests to and from the venue safely and comfortably from their lodgings, and our drivers handled it flawlessly. Bill and Aaron navigated slick, snow-covered mountain roads through Tuckasegee and Bear Lake Reserve with steady hands and calm confidence, making sure everyone arrived safe and relaxed despite changing conditions 🚐✨

Huge thanks to Julie Sylvester, Lindsi Cauley, and the entire Pinnacle Events team. Their organization, communication, and attention to detail made this event incredibly easy to support.

And Castle Ladyhawke continues to be one of those venues that never fails to impress—absolutely stunning in any season, and especially memorable with fresh snow falling 🤍

Most of all, thank you to Caraline and Brian, and to their families and friends, for trusting us with an important piece of such a special day. We’re grateful to play a behind-the-scenes role in moments like these and to help ensure transportation runs exactly as it should.

WNC Shuttle had the privilege of providing transportation services for so many amazing weddings in 2025! Fortunately, we're much better at transportation logistics than we are at keeping up with Facebook posts, so this is the first in a series of posts that I'll share in the upcoming weeks to give you a glimpse of a few of the special experiences that we call "work." I love this job!

Ladisic + Ogilvie | October Wedding Weekend

WOW! The Ladisic + Ogilvie wedding weekend at Ahma at Cold Mountain was something special. Two nights in the mountains of Cruso—an unforgettable rehearsal dinner followed by a stunning wedding—each thoughtfully designed and beautifully executed at one of Western North Carolina’s most remarkable private venues.

From candlelit tables beneath the glass pavilion to firelight by the river, live music, and a packed dance floor, the weekend struck a perfect balance of elegance and energy.

The ceremony took place on a scenic hilltop overlooking the surrounding mountains, with the Pigeon River below providing a beautiful and memorable backdrop. The celebration closed with a spectacular fireworks display, a fitting end to an incredible night.

A huge thank-you to Lindsay Sims and her incredible team at , along with an outstanding group of creative partners who brought this celebration to life. We’re grateful to have played a small part in such a beautiful wedding weekend.
