Rain, wind, and chilly temperatures today. Days like this make us appreciate summer on Winnipesaukee even more.

Sunshine, sparkling water, and classic boats will be here soon enough.

Hang in there, boaters. Better days are ahead.

This Memorial Day, the New England Chapter of the Antique & Classic Boat Society pauses to remember and honor the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

As another boating season begins on Lake Winnipesaukee and beyond, may we take a moment to reflect on the freedoms we enjoy and the courage that made them possible.

We remember. We honor. We are grateful.

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of longtime member Sue St. Hilaire. For over 30 years, Sue and her husband Paul were part of the Antique & Classic Boat Society community, and Sue was a familiar, welcoming presence at many of our events.

She brought warmth, kindness, and a genuine enthusiasm for cars and boats, along with a deep love for helping others—especially animals.

Sue will be missed by many and remembered fondly by all who knew her.

We invite you to read the tribute and join us in honoring her life.

Time to start your engines!

By Lew Dobbins, Pacific Northwest Chapter This article is based on my opinion and experience of dealing with marine engines for way too many years! As we care about protecting our boats, I’m sure that you all made a good job of winterizing your engines and fuel systems. So, let’s take a look at ...

Ice-out has officially been declared on Lake Winnipesaukee — always a welcome milestone for those of us counting the days until boating season.

While the docks may still be quiet for a little while longer, the signal is clear: it’s time to get the boats ready. Whether you’re finishing brightwork, checking mechanicals, tuning engines, or giving the upholstery a once-over, these early spring days are when the real preparation happens.

Launch day will be here before we know it. Until then, we’ll see you in the garage, the driveway, or the shop getting ready for another season on the lake.

New video just published!

While New England is still feeling the chill, here’s a look back at a great group boat run featuring several beautiful Century boats and a few other classics along for the cruise.

A nice reminder that boating season isn’t too far away.

Meet “The Crew” ⚓

Behind every great show, event, and gathering in our chapter, there’s a dedicated group of volunteers making it all happen—our Board. But around here, we like to think of them simply as the crew.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be introducing you to each member through a series of short Q&As—sharing their stories, their boats, and the passion that keep
s them connected to the water (and to this community).

From first rides as kids to decades of restoration projects, each story is a reminder of why we do what we do.

We’re kicking things off with Steve Perkins, our Board Member & Boat Show Chairman—whose lifelong connection to wooden boats started with a 1928 Chris-Craft named Gray Owl.
