EZ Ride EZ Ride’s services are a one stop for all your transportation needs that include carpools, vanpool

In the aftermath of the gas crisis, the Meadowlands Transportation Brokerage Corporation was incorporated in 1983 as a not for profit, public-private partnership to improve access, reduce congestion and promote economic growth by working with business and government agencies to address the employee commuting challenges in Northern New Jersey. The charter members were the Port Authority of New York

& New Jersey, New Jersey Turnpike Authority, New Jersey Sports & Exposition Authority, New Jersey Meadowlands Commission, New Jersey Department of Transportation and the Meadowlands Regional Chamber of Commerce. The Meadowlands Transportation Brokerage Corporation did business as “Meadowlink” and was the first Transportation Management Association (TMA) in the state of New Jersey. The Meadowlink name tied the agency’s identity to the geographic area around the Meadowlands. As the agency expanded to an area beyond the Meadowlands, it began using the name EZ Ride, which shifted attention from its geographic base to the service it provided. The EZ Ride name stuck and in 2005, it became the primary brand identification of the Meadowlands Transportation Brokerage Corporation. EZ Ride’s services are convenient and cost effective because they are integrated – a one stop for all your transportation needs that include carpools, vanpools, shuttles, transportation for older adults and people with disabilities, and bike and pedestrian programs. Today, EZ Ride manages New Jersey’s largest carpool, vanpool and shuttle services for businesses, colleges, universities, and municipalities. EZ Ride operates a mixed fleet of minibuses, vans, and sedans that provide more than 700,000 passenger trips each year.

For yesterday’s France vs. Senegal World Cup match, NJ TRANSIT successfully moved 25,797 people to the stadium on its rail and bus system.

Great job NJ TRANSIT and a huge “thank you” to those who used transit to get to the stadium and to regular commuters for their flexibility and understanding!

Speeding is the most common type of misconduct performed by drivers on the road. Data from the U.S. News and Home Report states that 88% of drivers admit to intentional speeding, with 10% reporting they frequently drive significantly above the speed limit to get to their destination faster.

Instead of speeding, consider leaving earlier and taking your time on the road. This will make the roads safer for everyone. For more information, visit:

The city of Asbury Park kicked off its summer Street Smart NJ campaign on Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at 10 am. Every summer Asbury Park has many out of town vacationers walking and biking throughout the city. Now is a great time and opportunity to emphasize the importance of street safety for all.

Created by the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority, Street Smart NJ is a public awareness and behavioral change campaign that emphasizes educating drivers and pedestrians through mass media, grassroots outreach, and targeted enforcement. EZ Ride will be assisting the Asbury Police Department with its public education campaign and a small demo project.

Street Smart NJ complements other state and local efforts to build safer streets and sidewalks, enforce laws, and train better road users.

As the weather heats up, cars can get dangerously hot, so be extra careful this summer, especially if you have children. Hundreds of cases of heatstroke happen to children and pets left in vehicles and this can be fatal.

To prevent this, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) gives these helpful tups:

- Never leave any child unattended in a vehicle.
- Always check the back seats before leaving your vehicle.
- Always lock your car even when you’re not using it, as a neighbor’s child may enter your vehicle while you’re away.
