Job Summary: van driver
Responsibilities
Provide Safe and courteous transportation
Have strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to work effectively with a diverse range of individuals.
Must be able to provide punctual, on time transports
Completion of appropriate forms and reports accurately and timely
Cleaning & maintenance of vehicles, equipment and garage and station duties as required
Operate company passenger van/bus to transport clients to and from the Adult Day Health program, as well as residents of the nursing facility and assisted living facility (where applicable), to doctor appointments, outings, etc. Will also fill in, if needed, for other transportation or vehicle needs.
To complete all routes as near to schedule as possible, and communicate to the facility if there is any anticipated/ actual deviations from schedule.
Check appointment book daily for assignment.
To be courteous to all clients, residents, employees and public at all times.
Maintain company vehicles according to company policy, Conduct safety checks and immediately notify the Transportation coordinator of any violations/irregularities.
Required
Current CPR /First Aid certified (We can help you obtain)
1 Year Experience with non-emergency medical transport, working with the elderly preferred
Experience with smart phones, GPS /google maps
Minimum 5 years driving experience, clean record
Pass drug test, smoke free environment
Ability to work independently and in a crew
Strong organization skills and attentiveness to detail.
Ability to maintain a professional manner and appearance at all times.
Current MA driver’s license.
High school or equivalent
Ability to speak and read English. Ability to follow oral and written directions in English.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Must have knowledge of Massachusetts Registry Laws and have a clean driving record.
