Schools may be CLOSED for the summer, but the wheels keep rolling.

Our training department is OPEN and ready to make some School Bus Drivers!

Now Training School Bus Drivers for the 2025-26 school year.

No experience necessary. There is no time like the present to start your new career with paid training to be behind the wheel in August. No nights, no weekends and summers off. We have open route assignments available – guaranteed hours and no on-call, everyone works at CBS!

Community Bus Services is proud to announce that Jered Winnestaffer, OBl at our Groveport-Madison Facility, competed in the NSTA School Bus Driver International Safety Competition in Austin, Tx.

Jered placed third in the conventional bus category, competing against state road-e-o winners from The US and Canada.

Jered placed at Ohio regional and state school bus driver safety road-e-o competitions to earn his spot at the International event.

On Saturday, April 20, Community Bus Services - Groveport Madison Schools had 14 school bus drivers compete in the Central Regional School Bus Road-e-o in Newark, Ohio. There were 79 drivers who came from other districts in the Central Region. After 10 long hours of competing, here are the results:

• Jered Winnestaffer – Finished in 2nd Place, and will be competing in the State Road-e-o on May 4 in Hilliard!

• Philip Lunder – Received Rookie of the Year (scored highest of all the first-time competitors) honors!

• K.D. Franks, David Lewis, Tina Barker, Joshua Brown – Received 1st Place for the Team Score competition.

All winners are posing with Groveport Madison’s Director of Transportation, Theresa Ritchie, and Julian Thomas (Community Bus Owner).

Join us in Celebrating National School Bus Safety Week 2023

When you see a school bus slowing down or stopping, it’s not just the bus that you need to have your eyes on – but the surrounding area too. Children wait at least several feet away from a bus and often cross the street when they’re boarding or getting off the bus. This is why you must stop for school buses, and don’t attempt to pass.
