The serenity of Halong Bay's natural vistas and the rich traditional heritage of Vietnam served as twin lodestars for the design of the Bhaya Classic.

Welcome to the Official Fanpage of Bhaya Cruises – the original overnight cruise brand of Bhaya Group - the largest and most reputable cruise operator in Halong Bay, Vietnam. Respected shipbuilder Master Nguyen Van Hoa, member of a well-known family of shipbuilders, dedicated himself to creating a boat inspired by the beauty of Halong Bay and Vietnamese traditional culture. Master Hoa, in cooperation with the French architect Anne Drousie, began building the dream ship in 2005. After 2 years of focused efforts, the first Bhaya Classic was completed, featuring modern amenities on board a ship purpose-built for Halong Bay, Vietnam. In 2007 the first Bhaya Classic ship set off on its maiden voyage through majestic Halong Bay, destined to be a trend-setter for the industry. Today, operating 8 boats with 97 passenger cabins, Bhaya Cruises has expanded to become the largest cruise operator on Halong Bay.

As part of The Heritage Journey, The Au Co introduces a new bánh trôi and bánh chay workshop, inviting guests to discover a beloved part of Vietnamese culinary heritage.

Made from glutinous rice flour, these delicate rice cakes are traditionally enjoyed during Tết Hàn thực, the Cold Food Festival. Bánh trôi, with its round shape and sweet sugar filling, symbolises completeness and fulfilment. Together with bánh chay, the cakes also evoke the legend of Âu Cơ, the mother of a hundred children, reminding generations of their shared roots and the importance of family unity.

Guests can experience the tradition firsthand, shaping the soft rice dough, preparing the fillings, and discovering the stories carried by each little cake.

A taste of Vietnam, shaped by hand and rooted in generations of tradition.

On October 12 & 29, discover the Sound Bath Experience, where hand-pan and singing bowls set the tone. You’ll even have the chance to play the hand-pan yourself before settling into a shared sound bath.

Then on November 11 & 21, step onto the deck for Yoga & Ocean Breathwork. Move, breathe, and take in the limestone karsts around you. No studio walls required.

Some nights are made a little brighter when we make them together. ⭐

During this year’s Full Moon Festival, guests aboard Bhaya Soul and The Au Co came together beneath the moonlight to create their own star lanterns from traditional Vietnamese Dó paper.

There was something wonderfully joyful about seeing our guests discover an old Vietnamese craft, learning how each piece comes together, sharing stories, helping one another, and carrying a little piece of the tradition into the night.

For us, this is what makes these celebrations special: creating a space where Vietnamese culture can be experienced, shared, and enjoyed together, one little star at a time.

A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful crews for bringing Crafting Stars Beneath Moonlight to life, and to every guest who joined us, crafted with us, and filled the evening with so much joy.
