MTC MOVES THE COMMUNITIES FORWARD!

The first part of the official handover of the Mayibuye Transport Corporation (MTC) Luxury Coach Bus commenced with a vibrant Fun Walk, bringing together employees and the Honourable MEC to promote healthy living, physical wellness and an active lifestyle.

The programme also featured a Street Blitz, during which promotional materials were distributed to fellow road users to raise awareness of MTC’s services and strengthen the Corporation’s visibility within the community.

The second part of the programme marked a significant milestone as MEC Xolile Nqatha officially handed over Mayibuye Transport Corporation’s first Luxury Coach Bus and Automated Fare Collection (AFC) System at the MTC Komani Depot.

The occasion was attended by members of the MTC Board, key stakeholders, management, employees and bus committee members whose presence highlighted the collective commitment to improving public transport services in the Eastern Cape.

This milestone marks another step towards building a safer, more reliable, affordable and dignified public transport system for the people of the Eastern Cape.

It also reflects MTC’s ongoing commitment to innovation, service improvement and enhancing the passenger experience, while strengthening its position as a trusted public transport provider.
