As many South Africans hit the road to spend time with family and friends, we want to wish you a safe and joyful Easter weekend.

Did you know? Over the past few years, road safety during Easter has been a major focus, and progress has been made. In the 2025 Easter period, South Africa recorded a 32.5% drop in road crashes and a 45.6% decrease in road fatalities compared to 2024, the lowest number seen in three years.

Even with these improvements, the roads can still be dangerous during peak travel times, which is why we remind everyone to:
• Drive responsibly
• Avoid distractions

• Take regular breaks
