Khula Khula Transport Services based in Saldanha is looking for services of a suitably qualified candidate to fill a position of a Diesel Mechanic.

The primary duties of a diesel Mechanic include performing diagnostic tests on diesel vehicles to find faults, analysing diagnostic test results, repairing or replacing engines, steering, transmission, braking and lighting system components.

Diesel Mechanic Responsibilities:

1.Running diagnostic tests on vehicles
2. Analysing diagnostic test results
3. Replacing vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions and braking systems.
4. Checking vehicle lighting systems.
5. Test driving vehicles to gauge performance.
6. Performing preventative maintenance on service trucks

Diesel Mechanic Requirements

1. Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering/ Vast experience in the related field.
2. Valid driver's license (code 10 or 14).
3. Advanced knowledge of diesel engine components
4. Attention to detail

Khula Khula Transport Services based in Saldanha is looking for services of a suitably qualified candidate to fill a position of a Logistic Controller.

The preferred candidate should have the following:
- Code EC licence;
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a code EC driver;
- Be experienced in tarping of loads;
- Must have experience of a flatbed and tautliner;
- Be experienced in driving both long and short distances.
Some of the duties will include but not limited to the following:
- Supervising (pre-employment testing, train new & existing drivers)
- Training (induction of drivers on safety & company policies, driver instructor, driver recruitment & selection)
- Monthly reports (document control, shift scheduling, maintenance scheduling, etc.)
- Safety duties (daily toolbox talks, handling of all medicals for drivers, sop, deal with clients’ safety requirements, etc.)
In order to be considered for this position, the ideal candidate should possess a relevant tertiary qualification, be computer literate, be medically fit, have a recognised professional driving licence and have a knowledge of health and safety regulations.
