Alpha HGV is looking for a Customer Systems & Support Executive to join our growing team.

This is a full-time role based from our Hereford office, with hybrid working available once training is complete.

Salary: £25,000
We’re looking for someone who is:
- confident with technology and learning new software
- organised and good with detail
- comfortable speaking to customers
- naturally good at solving problems
- willing to take ownership and see things through

You don’t need transport or tachograph experience , we can teach that.

The role will involve supporting customers using our compliance technology, tachograph analysis and tracking systems, helping with customer setups, resolving day-to-day issues and keeping our systems running properly.
There’s also plenty of scope for the role to develop as Alpha continues to grow and invest in technology.

Remote Downloaders take the Tachograph data straight from the vehicle and send it to the analysis system of your choice, saving you time and ensuring all drivers' hours are monitored appropriately.

𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭-𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐤𝐞𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐖𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝

We’re looking for an experienced part-time bookkeeper to help with the day-to-day accounts at Alpha HGV.

The role will involve working with Xero, so experience using Xero is essential. We need someone who can hit the ground running, work accurately, and help keep everything organised and up to date.

Duties may include:

Bank reconciliation
Purchase and sales ledger
Coding transactions in Xero
Keeping records tidy and accurate
Liaising with our accountant when needed
General bookkeeping support

This would suit someone local to Herefordshire who is already confident with bookkeeping and enjoys working with small businesses.

We are open to either an employed part-time position or a self-employed bookkeeper, depending on the right person.

Hours: Flexible, likely around 8–12 hours per week
Pay: Dependent on experience
Location: Alpha HGV / Herefordshire area

Experience is more important than qualifications, but AAT, ICB or Xero certification would be a bonus.

Our team were out and about today fitting Remote Downloading equipment at Tailor Made Designs - Roof Trusses, Posi Joists & Glulam to ensure that their tachograph cards and vehicles are downloading on time and automatically. Great to see another Herefordshire operator investing in their compliance (and saving themselves a manual job!) 🙌👏
