🚨🤣 YOU COULDN’T MAKE THIS UP! JUST ANOTHER CRAZY DAY IN THE LIFE OF A UK RECOVERY DRIVER! 🇬🇧🚛💨

What was supposed to be a simple breakdown recovery in Nottingham turned into an ABSOLUTE MOVIE! 🎬😂🔥

🏍️ First, we spotted the BACKWHEEL BANDIT showing off his wheelie skills!

🎤 Then we bumped into Nottingham grime artist GINNO, who gave BG Breakdown Recovery a massive shoutout at the traffic lights! 🔥

😂 Next, an old school friend tried hiding from the camera… but NO FACE, NO CASE! 📸🤣

🔋 Then we came across a gentleman struggling to jump-start his car. Had to offer a helping hand because that’s what we do! 🤝❤️

🚦 And just when I thought I’d seen it all… my recovery customer decided to become a full-time LOLLIPOP MAN, directing traffic like he owned the road! 🤣💀

All this madness just to recover ONE broken-down van! 🚛😂

🚨⚡ ELECTRIC VAN STUCK IN PARK ON THE A52! 😱🚛

🔥 RUSH HOUR RECOVERY NIGHTMARE IN NOTTINGHAM! 🔥

Another challenging callout for BG Breakdown Recovery Nottingham! 💪🚛

Called out to an electric van stranded in a LIVE LANE on the A52 heading towards QMC Hospital! 😳

🚨 Traffic building by the minute!
🚨 Dangerous bend!
🚨 Rush hour pressure mounting!

🔋 Tried the jump pack – NO LUCK!
⚡ Found the positive battery cable hanging loose!
🚫 Van wouldn’t come out of PARK or go into NEUTRAL!

Even with the skates fitted, I had to reposition my recovery truck TWICE to get the right loading angle! 😤

🚨🚛 NO KEYS, NO BRAKES, STEEP HILL… WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG?! 😱🔥

Just another CRAZY day in the life of a UK recovery operator! 🇬🇧💪

🏍️ First, we witnessed two lads on an electric Surron doing an ASDA shopping run, flying through red lights and narrowly avoiding being hit by cars! 😳💥 No helmets, no protection… absolute madness!

🚛 Then came the REAL challenge…

A BMW 3 Series stranded up a steep hill on a housing estate, needing recovery to a garage for repairs!

⛰️ Recovery truck struggling with the steep access!

🧱 Ramps needed just to get the truck up!

🔑 Then the BIG SURPRISE… the customer hands us keys that HAVEN’T EVEN BEEN CUT! 🤯

❌ Can’t unlock the doors!
❌ Can’t steer the vehicle!
❌ Can’t release the parking brake!

Most people would be scratching their heads… BUT NOT US! 💪🔥

A van recovery call quickly turned into one of those jobs you couldn’t make up! 😂🚨

The customer originally booked a recovery, then cancelled and asked BG Breakdown Recovery to come out for a jump start instead. No problem — I arrived with my commercial 12V/24V jump pack, suitable for cars, vans and HGVs. 🔋💪

But once connected, the dashboard had power and the van STILL wouldn’t start. That’s when we discovered a homemade immobiliser setup 😳 The customer had only recently bought the van, so this job was getting more interesting by the minute!

Then came the question: “Can you send the recovery truck and discount what I just paid?” 😂 Unfortunately, a jump-start callout and a vehicle recovery are two different services — especially when the battery isn’t actually the problem!

Rather than leave him stuck, we gave the van a push, tried a bump start and… IT WORKED! 🚐💨✅

Another customer back on the road and another unforgettable day for BG Breakdown Recovery. 🌍🚨

Mercedes A-Class stuck in PARK with NO KEYS… challenge accepted! 😳🔑🚗

BG Breakdown Recovery was called out for what looked like a straightforward recovery — until the customer revealed the keys were completely lost! With the front wheels locked, it was time to bring out the wheel skates and slippery jims. 🛞💪

We carefully loaded the Mercedes onto the recovery truck, transported it safely to Mercedes-Benz, grabbed a cheeky cappuccino ☕😎, then unloaded it into the designated spot — including a handy little trick for getting the slippery jims back out from underneath a vehicle that won’t roll.

No keys. No problem. Customer happy. Job done. Onto the next one! 🚛💨

What was supposed to be a straightforward Range Rover Discovery recovery turned into absolute madness! 💀🚨

Before I’d even reached the job, three lads in balaclavas flew past on electric bikes — shortly followed by police giving chase! 👀 Then I arrive to find the Discovery completely stuck in PARK, meaning the recovery skates had to come out. 🛞🚛

Just when I thought that was enough drama for one recovery… an unhappy neighbour starts beeping behind the truck demanding I move, my customer nearly gets left behind by his partner 😂, and things don’t exactly get friendlier when we finally reach Land Rover! 😳

All in a day’s work at BG Breakdown Recovery! 🚛💨

What should’ve been a straightforward van recovery turned into pure comedy 😂🚛

I arrive ready to get the van loaded, but the customer is still deep in a phone call 📱😂 After a bit of confusion, I get everything set up… only to look up and see him at the FRONT of the van trying to push it backwards! 😭🤣

Mate… I’m trying to tow it ON the recovery truck, not OFF it! 😂

Eventually we got the van safely loaded and delivered to a local garage for repairs, and the customer left happy. Just another unpredictable day in roadside recovery! 💪🚛

There’s something seriously satisfying about watching old, damaged equipment come off and a fresh upgrade go on. 😮‍💨🔧

In this episode, I’m replacing the old winch cable with a much stronger synthetic rope, showing the process from removing the old setup to fitting and spooling the new rope onto the winch. 🛻💪

Fresh rope, clean installation and that perfectly wound winch at the end… 👌🔥 Wait for the finished result!

What started as a normal recovery job quickly turned into a problem… 💥

While attempting to move a very heavy forklift, my winch cable snapped under the load. I still had breakdowns to attend, including a VW Transporter stranded on a roundabout, but after noticing movement in the old winch setup, I knew it wasn’t worth taking any more risks. ⚠️

The solution was a serious upgrade — a brand-new synthetic winch rope rated to 11 tonnes. 💪 It arrived the very next day, and I got it fitted straight onto the recovery truck.

In breakdown recovery, your equipment has to be ready when you need it. Problem found ➡️ safety first ➡️ upgraded ➡️ back on the road. 🛻🔧
