Who We Are:
The Airport Corridor Transportation Association (ACTA) is one of the nation’s 150 nonprofit Transportation Management Associations (TMAs), dedicated to tackling transportation challenges affecting individuals, businesses, and communities. Where We Operate:
Based in Robinson Township in Pittsburgh’s western suburbs, ACTA serves the business community along the Parkway West. Our reach extends from the western entrance of the Fort Pitt Tunnel through Beaver County, making us one of three TMAs in the Pittsburgh region. Our History:
Founded in 1990, ACTA is a coalition of private sector businesses and public agencies. Together, we work to improve transportation efficiency in the Airport Corridor by supporting and implementing programs that expand travel options, foster economic development, reduce congestion, and improve air quality.

As neighborhoods across Pittsburgh gear up for Halloween, we encourage everyone to celebrate safely and responsibly.

According to Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) data, there were 358 crashes in Pennsylvania on Halloween in 2024, resulting in two fatalities and 231 injuries. Among these, 23 involved pedestrians and 20 were due to impaired driving. Planning a safe ride home is crucial for Halloween celebrations, not just for drivers, but pedestrians alike.

Between now and October 31st, don’t forget to take the Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission Long Range Plan survey!

They need to hear from as many people as possible - the survey is open to anyone - regardless of age, profession or background - as long as they live or work in Southwestern Pennsylvania. Their goal is to create a plan that will shape the region’s shared vision around transportation, economic development, and a host of other areas to focus through 2055 and beyond.
