Did you see the 🌈 in the fountain?!

The Fountain in Fountain Hills, Arizona is the tallest man-made fountain in the United States and the third tallest in the world. Originally built in 1970 to attract prospective buyers to the newly planned community, it shoots water 560 feet into the air using three 600-horsepower turbine pumps.

When all three pumps run, the plume reaches 560 feet—making it 110 feet higher than the Great Pyramid of Egypt and taller than the Washington Monument.

It sprays for 15 minutes at the top of every hour, daily from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

It pumps 7,000 gallons per minute through an 18-inch nozzle and recycles reclaimed water from the surrounding 30+ acre Fountain Lake.
